Intensity: Chronicles of Nick by Sherrilyn KenyonMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
OK, really she just undid everything she had done in the Chronicles of Nick like it never happened!!!
Nick is pretty much stuck in his grimoire for the entire book after Grim is unable to get him to drink the water from the Lethe so he forgets everything. While Cyprian is masquerading as Nick and causing trouble. Nick does share a tender moment with Adrian and realizes that Cyprian just wants to be loved. He comes away with an understanding that rather than kill his son he can save him. Although in this time he does kill him. After meeting Takeshi (a guardian of time) Kody realizes that she was given water from the Lethe so she forgot her life with Nick and then lied to by Sroasha and that Nick was never the villain. Nick manages to drain Noir's power (it has something to do with Nick being part Sephiroth) and masters his Malachai powers. He creates a portal back to New Orleans. Unfortunately when he gets there it's too late and Kody has already been killed she hangs around long enough to tell Nick bye. She promises to find a way back to him and he promises to be waiting.
Nick talks Takeshi into letting him drink water from the Lethe so he will forget everything but before he does Nick goes to Sanctuary where Cyprian is hanging out masquerading as Nick. Nick gets Simi to lure him outside and kills him. So a Nick who no longer knows he is the Malachi is now in his senior year of High School preparing to go to Tulane or Loyola and with no memory of his friends. Although Caleb and Xev are still hanging around to protect him. But he is back to just being Kyrian's squire.
Not sure if this is the last Chronicle of Nick book are not it looks like she is going to start a series for Cyprian next. Although the epilogue hints that Nick is going to learn about being the Malachi as a teen as teenage Nick shows up in Ambrose's study with Caleb, Aeron, Kaziel, Vawn and a teen girl Ambrose doesn't recognize. insisting they are going to FIX the timeline and save Cyprian.
