Lassiter kidnaps Margaret in order to find his friend and mentor Patrick who is being held by a man from Margaret's past. Lassiter soon falls in love with Margaret and gains her help in freeing Patrick from the concentration camp Nicos is holding him in.
They free a badly injured Patrick but due to his injuries are forced to stay within Nicos' reach. Patrick also wants them to free the other prisoners who are being held at the concentration camp. While Lassiter is away seeking help Margaret finds herself in Nicos' clutches and must use her gift (communicating with animals) to escape him once and for all.
