When Reacher winds up in Despair the whole town steps in to drive him away. Which of course makes Reacher curious. With the help of Officer Vaughan from Hope he is able to uncover the Religious Wackos from Despair's diabolic plot to end the world with a dirty bomb. And in true Reacher fashion the religious leader's end fits his crime.
