Eve is scheduled to give a seminar at Roarke's posh off planet resort when she is confronted with an obsessed cop determined to destroy Roarke. A little digging into the cop's past shows that he has never crossed paths with Roarke himself but was double crossed by Roarke's Father. When the cop's associates are murdered in an attempt to frame Roarke Eve has to wonder how far the cop's son will go to please the Father who refused to claim him.
