When Reacher sees a woman on the subway dressed in black and showing all the signs of being a suicide bomber he confronts her. She blows her brains out and Reacher feels compelled to find out why.
But the FBI, DOD and some shady (terrorist) characters are equally determined to stop his investigation. Once Reacher puts the pieces together he is determined to avenge Susan and her son. The only question is can he survive the attempt.
