Dog Murdered for Defending His Home

The officer was at the home investigating a complaint of children not attending school and was trying to find a parent when he went to the door of the house, Wallace said.

While investigating, Wallace said, the officer was told a 2-year-old was possibly inside the home unattended. When the officer opened the door to go inside, the dog bit him.

The officer then fired his weapon and killed the dog, Wallace said. It turned out there was not an unattended child inside the home.

Don't POLICE OFFICERS have to knock and wait for someone to open the door? What right did this Police Officer have to invade someones home and kill their pet????????

"Good neighbors keep their noise to themselves."

February 28th was a nice sunny day. I was looking forward to going outside and working in my yard. Unfortunately Mr. Stephen Hiers of 12412 Old Biloxi Road (phone #392-8342) made that impossible with his go cart race track. The noise was so bad you could still hear it inside my house with the windows closed.

I wish there was some way to put a stop to this noise pollution. Go cart race tracks do not belong in residential areas. I deserve to be able to enjoy the outdoors without having to listen to engine racket from these go carts. I am sure this is also lowering the property value of my home and the other homes on this road.

I have lived in my home for 20 years, until Mr. Hiers put his go cart race track in last year this was a nice peaceful neighborhood. I want the peaceful neighborhood I moved to back. I am enraged that Jackson County officials allowed him to put this race track in my neighborhood with no consideration for the other property owners on this road. We were not even notified that this noise polluting race track was going to be inflicted on us and Mr Heirs has MADE NO EFFORT to restrict the noise from the race track by building berms around his property or taken any other steps to abate the noise and stop it from annoying his neighbors. Jackson County Officials should either shut the go cart race track down or force him to build a berm around his property.

"Good neighbors keep their noise to themselves.", unfortunately Mr. Hiers is NOT a good neighbor.

67 year old driving Truck that pushed car into path of tractor-trailer

They said Michael Decuir, 67, of Daphne, Ala., was westbound in a large-model Ford pickup when he lost control in the rain at around 3 p.m. Tuesday. There are still tracks in the grass where his truck left the road, crossed the median at a shallow angle and plowed into the eastbound lanes as traffic was reaching the end of the long Pascagoula River bridge.

Truck pushed car into path of tractor-trailer - Moss Point - SunHerald.com

I wonder if the 67 Decuir lost control due to his AGE? You can bet if a teen had been driving you would hear someone screaming about raising the age limit for teens to get their driver's licenses. How come when a Senior Citizen causes a wreck you never hear someone say he/she probably shouldn't have been driving and suggest taking the license of people who are no longer competent to drive away?

American Lube Fast Ripped Us Off

I really hate it when mechanics or other service technicians take advantage of people. American Lube Fast Store #0147 on Washington Avenue pulled a fast one on my youngest son.

The oil in the car our 18 year old son drives needed changing. He took it by American Lube Fast for us and the technicians insisted he also needed to get the Transmission Fluid Exchanged ($109.99) & the Engine Flushed ($59.99). Even though according to the maintenance manual for the car it was NO where near time for the Transmission Fluid to be changed. According to the Honda Accord Manuel the Transmission fluid doesn't need to be replaced until 8 years or 120,000 miles. Our car is barely 5 years old and only has 55,042 miles on it. We did NOT WANT the Transmission Fluid Exchanged or the Engine Flushed. We only wanted the oil changed ($31.99). They did it anyway costing us an additional $169.98 We will NOT be back to American Lube Fast after being ripped off like this.

My husband went down there to complain but of course since they bullied an 18 year old into signing off on it there was nothing we could do.

Little Changes Make A Big Difference

We needed a new bedspread and I kinda wanted to change things up. But I wanted to keep the border I used with my last bedspread so Hubby wouldn't have to paint. Don't think I am being sweet and considerate I want him to make me some more raised flower beds. First I got new sheets with a nice floral print.

They look really nice with my new comforter and curtains.

Notice the pink butterfly amongst the pink and blue flowers.

I love the embroidered pink roses on the sides.

The matching curtains.

I love they way the comforter and curtains look but I'll NEVER get 100% cotton again. I hate to iron. Mainly because I am so bad at it. I burnt my hand ironing the bed-skirt.
