I would have liked it better if it hadn't constantly been switching back and forth between characters.

Wade signed away his rights to his daughters Easter (yes like the Holiday, who names their kid after a Holiday???) and Ruby Quillby but now he wants them back so he kidnaps them and goes on the run with them and the money he stole from a gangster. The gangster sent a hit man after him and the girls court appointed guardian Brady Weller is hot on their trail. But along the way Easter reconnects with her Father, so when he leaves them again after seeing them with Brady at the ballgame Easter is hurt but when Brady uses the girls to set a trap for them she warns her Dad off with the baseball signal he taught her.

Sent to live with their Grandparents in Alaska Wade sends a message to Easter telling her to stay on base.
