For the Sake of Elena (Inspector Lynley #5)
For the Sake of Elena by Elizabeth GeorgeMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
It was Ok, there was a lot of misdirection in order to keep you guessing who the killer was and why. And Lynley is still pining away over Lady Helen at lest their "romance" seems to have progressed a bit.

Remodeling (Decorating)
I just love the shelves we replaced the spindles with. Bo built it himself, and he did an excellent job. I think it gives the house a nice modern look.
I love my vases, but decided the glass one didn't really look right here. It has since been moved to the Dining Room/Entryway shelf where it really shines.
And I just love my mirror, it's HUGE but looks perfect on the wall and gives the room depth. It's my favorite new acquisition for the Dining Room.

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry by Rachel JoyceMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
Harold's pilgrimage leads him back to his wife and heals the past that nearly destroyed them. At times unbearably sad but each step Harold takes leads him to a chance at a fresh start.

The Night Window (Jane Hawk #5)
The Night Window by Dean KoontzMy rating: 2 of 5 stars
The last in the Jane Hawk series a new character Thomas Buckle was introduced and I am not sure what his purpose was, his parallel story merely seemed to be a page filler and if you have read The Most Dangerous Game not very original.
With the help of an old friend from the FBI, Vikram, who is a rock star hacker Jane will gather the information she needs to bring the Arcadians down and expose them once and for all. A daring plan will have Vikram entering the Whispering Room and seizing control of all the adjusted people and freeing them to tell what had been done to them.
With all the new people added and the constant back and forth between story lines reading it seemed as tortuous as Jane's quest to expose the Arcadians.

Midnight Promises (The Sweet Magnolias, #8)
Midnight Promises by Sherryl WoodsMy rating: 2 of 5 stars
I would have probably enjoyed it more IF I had read the other books in the series and was more familiar with the characters. Unlike most romances this one started after the marriage and dealt with some of the problems disapproving family, financial worries, etc. couples face.
