A Test of Wills by Charles ToddMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
Suffering PTS from his experiences in WWI Rutledge is afraid he has lost the skills to solve murders when he is sent to Warwickshire to solve the murder of Colonel Charles Harris, the chief suspect is Captain Mark Wilton, who was engaged to Colonel Harris' Ward and was seen to quarrel with him the night before his death.
Captain Wilton seems to be the only one with a motive to kill Colonel Harris, but what if the murder was a case of mistaken identity and the motive for the murder lies in an accident that happened 20 years ago. Can Rutledge find the murderer before he/she strikes again?
