Delilah isn't just another rock star she is Jessie and Kendra's friend, Jessie actually seems to be the main character in this book (perhaps a spin off series is in the works). Lynch of course shows up to save the day but actually plays a very minor role. Although the odd presents he sends Kendra certainly do come in handy.

How do you rescue someone from a kidnapper who has made himself part of the investigation and who is willing to kill anyone who can betray them? And how much would you risk to save a friend?

I have to say Lynch surprising Kendra with an island vacation seemed a bit off after the kidnapper's obsession with Delilah and his plans to imprison her on a tropical island, but at least Lynch did ask.
