I had a little trouble getting into it as Kendra keeps flashing back to the past when she was helping her boyfriend FBI Agent Jeff Stedler (who died in Close Your Eyes). They were pursuing mass murder Colby, who Kendra played a key role in capturing. Colby is scheduled to be executed soon.

But Colby doesn't intend to lose, he has recruited Myatt to do his work on the outside. Myatt is recreating Kendra's past cases and using her friends and family as the victims.

Slowly Kendra starts to close in on Myatt, but when he targets Olivia and Kendra's Mom, she rushes to the rescue with Lynch. Myatt finds Kendra alone at the hospital and kidnaps her. In a desperate fight to the death Kendra defeats Myatt, but with his dying breath he reveals that Colby didn't die. The doctor who performed the execution was on Colby's payroll and helped Colby fake his "death".
