Escape Clause (Virgil Flowers, #9)

Escape Clause (Virgil Flowers, #9)Escape Clause by John Sandford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Virgil never disappoints he will have you on the edge of your seats with a few laughs along the way. After all he is that Fucking Flowers.

Two rare tigers are kidnapped from the zoo, the kidnappers plan to use them in traditional Chinese medicine. When one of the kidnappers who isn't the brightest tool in the shed leaves his prints on a light bulb at a house they used to stage the kidnapping Peck decides he needs to get rid of him. of course after he kills him he has to kill the guys brother and then the Simonians come to town to avenge their slain family members. So now Virgil has two possibly 3 murders tied to his Tiger case and the death toll is liable to mount before the book ends.

Meanwhile Frankie's sister Sparkle is stirring up trouble and Frankie is caught in the crossfire.

Virgil finally breaks the Tiger case wide open, but as usual he is without backup and even manages to lose his gun, but Peck never saw Virgil coming or rather he never saw the poetic justice Virgil served up coming.

*Long time readers know that Virgil's boss Lucas Davenport is no longer working with the BCA Virgil's new boss is Jon Duncan. Davenport is mentioned a time or two.
