Alasandra's Garden

The Lantana is blooming.

Wildflowers, I don't know their name but think they are some sort of grass.

Catmint. It is blooming now and just gorgeous.

Canna Lillies, they are in the greenhouse and REALLY need to be moved.

Yarrow and Stokes Aster

Herman's Pride. So far the ones I planted in the Whiskers Bed are doing OK.

Think Pink

I won this Johnson Brothers Old Britain Castles pink platter, courtesy of CSN Stores when Beth did a giveaway on her blog Food as Art. It looks really nice with the pink glass candlesticks I got when I married Hubby 23 years ago today.

Pink Butterfly Meadow wine glass. I would love to have all the Butterfly Meadow Collection.

Mikasa bowl I got for one anniversary.

Stainless Steel Water Pitcher I ordered for our ice-tea.  I know it's not pink but the nice thing about it is it will go with all my china patterns.

Dinning with Alasandra

Meet some friends at the Memphis Q for dinner last night. It was a nice end to a horrible day We started the meal with crab cake appetizers, very yummy.  I enjoyed my baked chicken (with BBQ sauce on the side), mashed potatoes and green beans. The BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy just the way I like it so I ate more then I should have. Actually the serving was large enough that me and Hubby could have split it. He got a BBQ Sandwich that he wasn't pleased with as he said the pork had to much fat in it. We shared a Triple Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ice-cream for dessert. The cake was delicious and the serving was HUGE. The service was courteous and fast. The restaurant is on the pricey side but the food and service are great.

Upside Down Tomatoes

Hubby built a place to hang our tomatoes. I helped make sure the post were square.

We used  metal buckets in hopes that we would be able to reuse them next year. We used coconut liners to help hold the plants and dirt in.

The Mockingbird has been eating our strawberries. The cats finally got the idea this was a good place to hang out.

Watermelon, Honeydew and Cantaloupe.

Pretty much everything in the garden has been washed out, but we have butterbeans, peas, broccoli, carrots, turnips & corn in there. We also have a bed with muskedimes in it.
