So just to clarify, we still have freedom of speech and Obama and the Democrats support it.
As for intelligent design/creationism not being taught in schools, it is not science. If you want to teach your child the creation myth fine do it at home or in Sunday School.

Have you heard what has happened to her now? She has a broken hip and is deathly ill. She sure looked fine to me when I saw her in that video. I do not put it past Obama to have caused this infirmity on his own grandma. We know that he has not appreciation or care of human life from his infanticide bills and this is no different. ~ Exposing and Bucking The System
In fact it is his MATERNAL (white) Grandmother, you know the one who is a United States citizen, who is ill.
"Senator Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has always been one of the most important people in his life," Gibbs said. "Along with his mother and his grandfather, she raised him in Hawaii from the time he was born until the moment he left for college. As he said at the Democratic convention, she poured everything she had into him." ~Washington Post
CNN Says -The Democratic senator was born in Hawaii, where he spent most of his childhood raised by his mother, a white American from Kansas. He barely knew his late father, a Kenyan economist from Kogelo.
From USA Today - Obama's grandfather had converted to Islam from Roman Catholicism and taken the name Hussein, Sarah Obama said, but his children had inherited only the name, not the religion. Each person should be able to choose how they worshipped, she said.
"In the world of today, children have different religions from their parents," she said. She, too, is a Christian.
Barack Obama has visited his Kenyan relatives three times in Kogelo, and his grandmother has gone to the U.S. twice. She says they are close, although they have to speak through an interpreter (apparently Granny doesn't speak English).
Sarah Obama was the second wife of the candidate's late grandfather, so is not his biological grandmother.
The Republican National Committee has spent more than $150,000 to clothe and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family since her surprise pick by John McCain in late August.
Jeez I could have paid off my house, bought a brand new car and had money left over for that amount of money. And the Republicans wonder why most people think they are out of touch with the majority of people in the United States.
But then when your candidate constantly puts her foot in her mouth over the simplest questions I guess you have to make sure it's well shod.
Her latest gaffe not knowing if someone who bombs an abortion clinic is a terrorist.
A simple YES! would have sufficed instead we got a song and dance routine which left you wondering if she really thinks it's OK to terrorize women who make decisions she disagrees with and murder the doctors who provide health care to them.

I won't be voting for the McCain & Palin ticket. McCain is way to scary and Palin doesn't have the political smarts needed for the job. While she may not just be 'eye candy' she certainly doesn't seem to have any concrete ideas of how to get us out of the economic mess we are in. In fact both McCain & Palin seem to suffer from a disconnect with reality.
While I am not entirely happy with Obama, especially his plans for universal pre-school. Let's fully fund K-12th grade and a university education first, then we can talk about funding programs (Head Start) that have already been shown to have no lasting effect. I am appalled at the smear tactics that Fundamentalist Christians are stooping to and their ridiculous claims of proof he wasn't born in Hawaii (which by the way is part of the United States).
Snopes.Com plainly shows why we shouldn't believe the nonsense about his birth certificate. Not to mention that if there was any validity to the nonsense HRC would have used it to insure that she was the Democratic nominee.

The Food and Drug Administration urged U.S. consumers to avoid all infant formula from China, after several brands sold in that country came under suspicion of being contaminated with melamine, a chemical used in plastics. Officials said there have been reports from China of babies developing serious kidney problems as a result.
Melamine is the same chemical involved in a massive pet food recall last year. (The recall responsible for Whiskers' murder by the unscrupulous Chinese.) It is not supposed to be added to any food ingredients, but unscrupulous suppliers in China sometimes mix it in to make foodstuffs appear to be high in protein. Melamine is nitrogen rich, and standard tests for protein in bulk food ingredients measure levels of nitrogen.

And for those who care about the bridge to nowhere how did Biden and Obama vote on it?
Sen. Biden and Sen. Obama voted for funding the Bridge, even when given a second chance by Sen. Tom Coburn, who proposed shifting earmark funds to Katrina relief.
Sen. McCain did not vote on the Coburn Amendment, though he is on record as opposing the Ketchikan bridge earmark. Palin eventually killed the project, in my opinion Biden and Obama's vote for the earmark should be the real story.

1966 - Actually I was a newborn baby, but hey the hair style isn't bad. Especially since I was bald as a baby.
Visit Yearbook Yourself to see what you would have look like in year whatever.

I'll be honest I am not happy with either the Republican or Democratic choices. McCain is a power hungry ego manic and Obama is one of those high-minded individual that Amelia Peabody warns us about. "High-minded individuals are more dangerous than criminals. they can always find hypocritical excuses for committing acts of violence."Amelia Peabody Emerson
Frankly I don't care for someone who thinks they know what is best for me better then I do. I am also very opposed to Obama's comprehensive “zero to five” program. Preschoolers belong at home with their Mothers not in some government mandated 'program'.
Which leaves me hoping a viable Independent Presidential Candidate will emerge. If not I'll be trying to pick the lesser of two evils and right now I am not sure which would be worse for the country an ego manic or a high minded individual.

But a lawyer for the Burlington, Conn., school told the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday that administrators should be allowed to act if such comments are made on the Web.
Avery Doninger, 17, claims officials at Lewis S. Mills High School violated her free speech rights when they barred her from serving on the student council because of what she wrote from her home computer.
